Your blog is one of the most interesting and promising ones I've seen recently. I hope you don't mind that I'm going to link it to mine, so that my daughters in Santa Cruz can read it.

Go Slugs!

one of the more contententious theories with regard to glboab warming and its impact on the polar ice caps , is that this warm period is a phase as much as the mini ice phase was about 200 years ago - hence the popular images of Dickens' christmas with the frozen thames and snow on the commons .
further back in history dendrologists will attest to periods of growth surges and periods of darmacy over the millenia.
there are various causes given for this apparent flux in the earths temperature.the dust proliferation following a meteor impact ; volcano erruption etc; one of the most challanging and perhaps spurious is the theory which suggests that humans had reached this degree of nuclear weapons / instrument-''sophistication' in the past , whereupon we blew it all to oblivion , - ourselves and even the dianansores , when the whole evolution thing started agaain beggining with the unicellular organisms .other scientists refer to the sun spots and consequent cooling and heating on earth .
Is the current glabal warming just another of these phases of which we can do little or is it a more pointed accusation at the profligate way we have wasted our finite resourses
what do you feel ?

I don't like snow and ice, either. I'm a desert kind of guy. But cool blog.
